You're running low on fuel, and the guidance system of your rocket leads you to a remote moon. You land in a mysterious, abandoned spaceport, completely covered in jungle vegetation and infested with a colony of alien creatures resembling spiders. They aren't too happy about your invasion of their world. Soon, large sinkholes appear in various areas of the spaceport, and it becomes clear why it was abandoned. Your only hope for survival is to repair a transport portal and get it working again. Unfortunately, all the portals are disconnected and hidden beneath the jungle. There's no time to waste—it's go time! Designed by Matt Leacock (the renowned creator of the Pandemic series), The Forbidden Jungle offers gameplay for couples and groups of up to 5 players, ages 10 and up, with sessions lasting about 45 minutes. In this cooperative game, players must work together to activate a portal and escape before the ground collapses or the aliens catch them. Those familiar with Forbidden Island or Forbidden Desert will find similarities in components and mechanics, but with a completely original theme. The game area is created with 25 tiles that, once shuffled, are placed in the center of the table. These tiles represent the locations players will move through in search of the portal and the crystals needed to activate it. Each player has an adventurer card with unique skills, and when combined with the rest of the team's abilities, these can be crucial to achieving victory. As players move, they'll reveal dangers, including the aliens. Designed for family or friends, The Forbidden Jungle will test the communication and teamwork skills of all participants. With 4 difficulty levels, the game adapts to any group. Plus, with its modular board format, no two games will ever be the same.
