Obscurio is an asymmetrical cooperative board game featuring secret roles and communication based on images, set in the Sorcerer's Library. One player takes the role of the Grimoire and must guide the Wizards through rooms by giving visual clues about the correct exit card. The challenge lies in a secret Traitor who attempts to confuse the team by pointing to wrong cards and misdirecting the group's decision.
In Obscurio, the key is efficient visual communication under pressure. The board represents the Library, and the goal of the Loyal Wizards is to find the correct exit before time runs out or team cohesion is lost. The Grimoire, who cannot speak freely, must use the Book to point out specific details on an Illusion card as a clue. However, several cards are presented each round (the correct one and several decoys), and the Traitor actively intervenes, pointing to incorrect cards to sow doubt among the Wizards. This system of asymmetrical roles and the constant threat of distrust make Obscurio a tense and highly interactive game, suitable for 2 to 8 players with an approximate duration of 45 minutes.
