Designed by Peter B. Hoffgaard, Starship Captains is a medium-weight action-selection and crew-management board game for 1–4 players (ages 12 and up), with sessions lasting about 60–90 minutes.
As the captain of a starship, you’ll assign your crew members to different ship stations —piloting, weapons, science, or repairs— to travel through the galaxy, take on missions, engage pirates, and strengthen diplomatic relations.
Players earn points through multiple strategies: completing missions, researching technologies, collecting artifacts, advancing on faction tracks, and maintaining ship integrity. Efficient planning and timing are essential, as used crew members need to rest before they can act again.
With a balance between accessibility and strategic depth, Starship Captains offers a thrilling and thematic space adventure full of clever decisions and interstellar charm.
