Step into the boots of rookie astronauts on a real mission, aboard a real spacecraft, in the vast expanse of outer space! Sounds thrilling, right? It would be... if only someone actually knew what they were doing. With no seasoned pilot to guide you, it’s up to your team to figure things out on the fly.

Designed by Johannes Krenner and Markus Slawitscheck, Novices in Space is a cooperative adventure game for 3 to 5 players, suitable for ages 10 and up, with game sessions lasting around 15 minutes. This fast-paced and fun space adventure unfolds across eight levels, each presenting unique challenges that demand teamwork and sharp communication to solve.

The goal in each level is to complete a series of tasks. All the required information is hidden in the cards dealt to players—but there’s a catch: the cards are dealt randomly, and players can’t reveal them to each other! Instead, you’ll need to communicate effectively to piece together the puzzle. Each player holds a small part of the solution, but only through collaboration can you connect the dots.

For example, one player might know the task, while another has the resources to complete it. The challenge lies in sharing clues, describing cards, and strategizing together without ever showing your cards. A timer adds urgency to the game, and you’ll earn stars based on your performance. At the end of all eight levels, your total stars will determine your final score.

To help you dive right in, Novices in Space includes an easy-to-follow tutorial for your first game. With its cooperative nature, simplicity, and variety, this game promises an exciting and entertaining experience for players of all ages.
