Up to 4 players, aged 10 and above, can join forces in quick 20-minute battles. The goal is to defeat 12 powerful enemies. A sinister corruption has spread through the four realms, darkening the hearts of once-loved kings, queens, and courtiers. As brave adventurers, you must work together to purge this darkness and restore life to the land.
Players use cards inspired by a standard French deck to attack and defend. Prepare the game by separating and shuffling the kings (marked with "K"), queens ("Q"), and jacks ("J") to form the castle deck, which includes the 12 enemies. Shuffle the remaining cards (numbered 2-10, aces representing helpful animals, and wild cards) to create the tavern deck, and deal them to players.
The game proceeds in 4 simple steps: 1) Choose whether to play a card or pass, 2) Apply the card's power based on its suit, 3) Attack the enemies, keeping in mind that they are immune to the suit's powers they represent, 4) Defend against enemy attacks by discarding cards.
