Paris, 1898. The city is buzzing with preparations for the 1900 Universal Exhibition. Scaffolding rises everywhere, and false tunnels are being built in the streets, soon to be covered. The construction of the Paris Metropolitan transport network is underway, and it’s up to you to ensure the tracks are laid out efficiently.

Metro is a timeless classic, first published in 1997, now returning in a revised edition with four expansions included. Designed by Dirk Henn, the game supports 2 to 6 players aged 8 and up, with a playtime of about 30 minutes. The main mechanic is tile placement, where players aim to score the most victory points by building underground railway lines.

Easy to learn yet challenging to master, the game requires strategy to maximize your score. On their turn, players draw and place a tile on the board, expanding the railway network. Points are earned by completing a line from one of their carriages to a station, with a double-score bonus for connections to the central station.

Once you've mastered the base game, you can incorporate one or more of the included expansions for added depth:

• Metro Companies: Introduces a sideboard and 32 participation cards. Instead of placing a tile, players can exchange shares of a company, earning points at the end of the game based on their shares’ benefits.
• Metro Stations: Allows players to add carriages to the central station.
• Central Tracks: Adds 4 track tiles to the central station area.
• Station Numbers: Includes 32 numbered tokens that grant bonus points at the end of the game.
